TNT adds some color to OS20 wheels

Tired of the limited color choices in OS20 wheels?

TNT Bicycles may just have the solution to what ails you.

TNT has done a small run of OS20* rims in multiple colors (see below) to add a little flair to your OS20 ride.

They clock in at 435 grams (per rim) and retail for $49.95 (US) per rim.

I’m kinda partial to that gold anno myself.

Hit up TNT Bicycles for all the particulars…and maybe do it soon?

Remember the “small run” part above…

*Or 451mm for you metric types.

Catalog model poses with Fit 22

The sneak peeks and teases are over because the new Fit Twenty-Two is out!

FitbikeCo just released their 2019 Catalog that goes into all the specs and details of the new 22″ with some cool riding shots to accompany all the technical information.

What’s even cooler is that the S&M/Fit product team put together a “behind the scenes” video to give some more background into the thinking behind the bikes and how they are presented.

I grabbed a couple screen shots of Chris Moeller  — for your viewing pleasure — who ended up being the “catalog model” for the Fit Twenty-Two bike (you’ll learn why in the video).

Definitely something worthwhile to check out.

Have a peek below.

Did Lew foresee the 22″ phenomenon?

In a recent Instagram post talking about the R&D on the 2019 Verde Spectrum 22 (photo below), Scott Towne dropped an interesting tidbit/soundbite.

Apparently, Mark “Lew” Lewman (of Freestylin’ magazine fame) floated the idea of a 22″ bike to Chris Moeller (of S&M) more than 20 years ago!

Back then, Lew was a lanky magazine editor that rode one of the larger 20″ bikes of the time, the Redline RL-20II.

According to Scott:

It should be noted that Mark Lewman, AKA Lew AKA @superlewman proposed the idea for an “in-between” sized bike with “maybe 22-inch wheels” as a new concept to Chris Moeller in the mid-1990s, but it just wasn’t yet the time. Lew was always ahead of the curve.

I guess the BMX world wasn’t ready then.

We sure are now.
