Fit goes chrome for its new 22″

Hot on the heels of learning that the Stolen Spade 22 is going chrome in 2019…we find out that Fitbikeco is going chrome as well for its 2019 model 22″.

Word on the street is that the BF22 is being discontinued and replaced by this new chrome beauty.

Chris Moeller let the cat out of the bag when a picture showed up on the socials of him reclining post photoshoot with a beer…and the new 22″ hanging on the bike rack behind him.

No word yet on specs or geometry….but it looks mighty tasty!

(And it looks like we might have a chrome trend on our hands…not that I’m complaining)

Stolen soups up the Spade 22

The Stolen Spade 22 turned our heads last year when it made its debut in the 22″ market.

Now for 2019, Stolen has souped up the Spade 22 with some more shine!

That’s right, Stolen went with a chrome (is colorway the right word here?) and tanwall tire look.

In a word, Wow.

This is a sweet looking ride.

In terms of geo, Stolen stuck with what worked last year…with the exception of making some tweaks to the chainstays to allow for better tire clearance. Always a welcome move.

Check out all the deets here.

These will be hitting shops in May…and probably selling just as quick.

Get on it.

First look: 22″ Stolen Spade

We’ve waiting a while to check out Stolen’s 2018 22″ offering and it has definitely been worth the wait!

And you know with a name like “Spade” you just know this rig was designed with the trails in mind.

The Stolen Spade sports a full cro-mo frame, fork and bars and is available in a black or copper finish. (A Spade Pro frameset is also available in polished raw.)

Here’s how the specs break down:

  • Head tube angle: 74.25°
  • Seat tube angle: 71°
  • Top tube: 22.25″
  • Chainstays: 14.1″ slammed/14.3″ C-Cs

The S-bend chainstays also provide ample fat tire clearance.

Hot damn, this looks good.
